Privacy Policy

A Slippery Slope, LLC (“Company”) respects the confidentiality of every visitor to, and user of, this Website.  Your privacy is important to us and we intend to protect it in all manners within our control.

Information Gathering

To access the Course as offered on this Website, the Company collects information that includes your name, email address, place of work, and other information specified in the registration form.  You must also select a username and password that will be associated with your account.

Information Usage

The collected information is used strictly for the general purposes of providing present and future products and services, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact and correspondence, research, retaining a user database, and for Company marketing purposes.  Company may also gather additional anonymous information to help improve the services Company offers.  This additional information may take the form of the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using, information about your browser and operating system, date and time of access and the internet address and page which linked you to Company site.  The collected information will not be used in a way that violates the Privacy Policy.  The information we collect is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes.  It is only shared when necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Terms of Use, or as otherwise listed below or as required by law.  By using this Website, you agree and consent to the collection and use of all the above-referenced information.

Surveys, Exercises and Games

In addition to the above-referenced collected information to access and utilize the Course, each Course module is followed by a survey, some with required exercises related to the specific module and reflecting upon your own behavior.  These surveys and exercises are solely used to assess what you are experiencing in your day-to-day professional practice environment, to encourage personal reflection, and for the Company to see the potential impact of the Course over time.  The Company will not disclose or share the answers to the surveys and/or exercise questions.

In the instance of the games associated with two of the Course modules, the collected data may in some or all instances be shared anonymously with Duke University’s Center for Advanced Hindsight, a behavioral economics lab studying why people make a wide range of decisions and how certain forces influence thoughts and behavior.  The Center for Advanced Hindsight is an affiliate of the Social Science Research Institute.  You can find out more about these organizations by visiting the Frequently Asked Questions section of this Website.  The collected data can and will be provided to the lab for possible further analysis and publication, but this data is anonymous and does not correlate the game answers to any particular user.  By using this Website, you agree and consent to the collection and use of all the above-referenced information and data.
